The English, Cantonese and Putonghua Debating Teams are dedicated to promoting the art of debate and eloquence of speech among students, while enhancing their critical thinking skills and global awareness. Through participation in inter-school debating competitions and speaking events both locally and internationally, the teams cultivate students’ multidimensional development. Additionally, Heep Yunn School was one of the first few schools in Hong Kong to establish a Putonghua Debating Team and has put a lot of effort into fostering debate-related exchange programmes with other schools in Asia. Equipped with reasoned discourse and discernment, our students are trained to be visionary leaders serving and connecting our community with compassion, conviction, and courage.
