The Hong Kong Young Writers Awards is an annual English-language writing competition for young writers to showcase their talents and creativity in fiction, non-fiction, poetry and cover art. The theme of the year is ‘New Tales of the Ming Treasure Voyages’.
The Awards Ceremony was held on 27 March 2019. Charis Chan (3B) and Charmaine Lee (4D) were shortlisted for the poetry category (group 4 for F.3-4 students) and Charis was the winner of this group. Iris Tsui (3A) and Keziah Cho (3B) were shortlisted for the fiction category (group 4 for F.3-4 students) and Iris was the winner.
Among the winners of all the groups and categories, Iris Tsui was also crowned the Hong Kong Young Writer of the Year!
All award-winning works have been published in an anthology. Congratulations to Iris, Charis, Keziah and Charmaine!
