Having been suspended for two years, the annual Inter-house Swimming Gala returned in its finest glory. On 13th September 2022, students and teachers gathered at the Kwun Tong Swimming Pool with vibrant enthusiasm to attend the long-awaited event.

Despite the pandemic, swimmers have been training tirelessly, without which their outstanding results would not have been possible. The climax of the day was for certain the inter-house relays. As swimmers leapt into the pool and swam with all their might, the cheering teams chanted the name of their houses. It was a fulfilling moment as everyone applauded and cheered for their swimmers.

This year, we were very honoured to have invited Mr. Choi Wing Wah as our guest of honour. He is the former chairperson of the Parent-Teacher Association of Heep Yunn School and the former coach of the school’s Swimming Team. He reminded us of the benefits of swimming and the precious lessons the sport teaches — teamwork, perseverance and responsibility.
